One Voice Canada Employment and Community Services mandate is to improve the socioeconomic life of Thorncliffe Park immigrant families. We are committed and capable of delivering great results in many areas of our community development such as career guidance, job search strategies, job placement services, providing technical and soft skills training to enable them in improving their employability skills in the labour market of Canada.
We are aware of the social isolation of the new immigrant seniors in Thorncliffe Park and we are training our seniors on computer tablet technology to connect them to the social media internet world. By empowering our seniors with computer technology we are also addressing their emotional well-being as well.
Promoting healthy life style and conducting health prevention information session for our community is an important part of our mandate to improve the physical and emotional health of our community. We have already started conducting health promotion workshops in partnership with Canadian leading health promotional providers.
